STRENGTH
Functional Strength Training at SEEK is designed to make a real impact on your everyday performance and wellbeing. Using stationary bikes, free weights, kettlebells, TRX straps and resistance bands we train your body to move smarter and stronger, building endurance, power, and practical strength. Through dynamic and creative movement, load, resistance, and instability we train for a lasting impact, not just calories burned. What you do in here will directly impact what you do outside of our walls. All of our Strength format classes are small-group (limited to 9 participants) so our trainers can offer individualized attention to your form and safety.
Class descriptions
STRENGTH
This is our baseline workout - and baseline doesn’t mean easy! In this class you will use free-weights, kettlebells, resistance bands and bodyweight movements to build functional-strength. Start with a mobility style warm up, and then progress through time-based circuits that will work your full body every class. End with a quick stretch and a moment of zen and you’ll leave stronger for your everyday pursuits.
STRENGTH: Advanced Kettlebells
*This is a highly technical class - you must be able to press a 20 pound kettlebell overhead and have mastered the kettlebell swing* This class is for the experienced weight lifter to deepen their knowledge and skills with kettlebells. More than just a hard workout, the exercises learned and worked with in this class are more technical and rigorous. You’ll spend time breaking down sequences to build into complex combinations with one or two kettlebells. You can also expect a big emphasis on challenging full-body mobility and stability drills to enhance overall strength. This class uses only kettlebells, resistance bands and the pull-up bar. Shoes are optional and barefoot is encouraged!

Strength + CONDITIONING
In addition to free-weights, kettlebells, and resistance bands, this class incorporates elements of cardio, balance and power using spin bikes, bosu balls and time on the TRX suspension system. It is full body functional training designed to challenge and progress your athleticism. You’ll have opportunities to lift heavier weights and push your power output. You will walk away with the strength and agility to move, run, ride, hike, bike, ski, board, and live better.
STRENGTH: TRX
This class is designed to build functional stability, balance, control, and strength in range of motion. It is a powerful compliment to weight-based strength training because of its focus on stabilizer muscle groups, eccentric control, joint mobility, and deep core strength. Athletes of all fitness levels will benefit from the cross training that this class offers. We use the TRX suspension strap system, free weights, bodyweight resistance and mobility movements in this class. Expect less "heavy lifting" and more focus on time under tension, dynamic mobility, and consistent movement. This sort of training is what your body needs in order to build long-term strength and power while maintaining healthy movement quality and less pain and risk of injury. This is a challenging class and a perfect compliment to our other STRENGTH and YOGA classes.
