THE EXPERIENCE
Join SEEK teachers Sarah, Jesus, and Madison for seven days and six nights of movement, adventure, and connection on the Pacific coast of Panama. Our home for the week will be Sansara Resort in Cambutal, where days will be anchored by yoga and pilates, with plenty of time to explore, recover, and enjoy the incredible setting around us. You’ll have opportunities for surfing, stand up paddle-boarding, hiking, beach and tide pool walks, jungle adventures, biking and more. We’ll build in plenty to do, and ample time to rest and soak in the peace of the experience.
THE PLACE: Cambutal - One of the Best Surf Spots in Panama
The peaceful Panamanian village of Cambutal is located in the province of Los Santos in the Azuero Peninsula. It is about a five-hour drive away from the capital Panama City, and is situated in the southernmost point of Panama. Cambutal’s beautiful beaches and mountains provide the ideal setting for a relaxing vacation experience where you will find inspiration from everything that surrounds you.
Fill your days exploring miles of Pacific coastline, enjoying some of the best surfing in Panama, eating delicious meals prepared with fresh local produce, or practicing yoga with the sound of ocean waves guiding your breath.
Cambutal is a special place that will grab your soul and help you build deep connections as you rely on those around you to uphold, support and encourage you to push your limits and reach your potential.
SANSARA RESORT
Sansara is an eco-luxury surf and yoga resort located oceanfront on Panama's Azuero Peninsula. 13 luxurious and private oceanfront cabanas have been designed to blend seamlessly with the natural surroundings of the resort grounds. The thoughtful fusion of traditional design with tropical elements provides an inspiring and intimate experience. Featuring stunning views, all cabanas are equipped with a private patio and are just steps away from the warm and inviting waters of the Pacific Ocean. The on-site pool and spa offer ample opportunity to relax and rejuvenate your body and mind.
The Buddha Bar at Sansara is an oceanfront farm-to-table restaurant, where daily-caught Pacific fish, locally sourced produce from Cambutal-area farms, and vibrant Latin American flavors come together in chef-curated menus that are as nourishing as they are unforgettable.

If you are booking solo, you will be paired with another lovely human (or 2) who also opt into that room. There is a “personal notes” section in the reservation process where you can put in requests for room pairing. We will do our best to honor these when possible.

Designed for friends and shared experiences, Hanuman combines the comfort of a spacious suite with the feeling of living in the tropics. Two handcrafted king beds can become four individual twins, while the expansive covered patio creates a beautiful space to unwind together. You'll fly into Panama City, Panama (PTY) and are required to be there before 8:00am on September 19th.
Group transportation between Panama City and Sansara Resort in Cambutal is included in your retreat package. The drive takes approximately five hours. We will be picked up by a group shuttle in Panama CIty at 8am on 9/19.
You'll be responsible for booking your own flights to Panama City, as well as any overnight accommodations needed before or after the retreat. We'll share more detailed arrival, departure, and transportation instructions as the trip approaches.

Yes! In fact, retreats are a great way to meet new people. You can book individually and we'll help pair you with roommates if you've selected shared accommodations. You'll have plenty of opportunities to connect with others throughout the week, as well as time to yourself.

All retreat pricing is per person, based on the room and occupancy selected. If you're traveling with a friend or partner, each person should register individually and include the names of their preferred roommates during booking.
If you're traveling solo, we'll help coordinate room assignments based on availability and your preferences. We'll do our best to accommodate roommate requests, including gender preferences.

Not at all. Everything is an invitation, not an obligation. We encourage you to take advantage of the experiences we've planned, but this is your vacation too. If you'd rather skip a practice to sleep in, enjoy the pool, or spend some extra time at the beach, go for it.

Not if you don’t want to! An introductory surf lesson is included, and no prior experience is necessary. Cambutal is a beautiful place to experience surfing, whether it's your first time on a board or you're already comfortable in the water. Additional surf lessons can be arranged at an extra cost.

Yes! Sansara's kitchen prepares fresh, locally sourced meals and can accommodate a variety of dietary needs and food allergies. You'll have the opportunity to share your dietary requirements during registration so we can coordinate with the resort in advance.

The $1,000 deposit is non-refundable. If you need to cancel, refunds on payments made beyond your deposit are handled as follows:
More than five months before departure: 100% of payments beyond the deposit are refundable.
Between two and five months before departure: 50% of payments beyond the deposit are refundable.
Within 60 days of departure: No refund is available.

Travel insurance is not included in the retreat price, but we strongly recommend it. Consider a policy that includes trip cancellation, medical coverage, and emergency evacuation protection, especially when traveling internationally.
